Working as a student researcher for Prof. Akif Tezcan’s Lab of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry
Research topics include the design of artificial metalloenzymes and development
Designed de novo metalloenzymes using machine-learning models to construct new protein scaffolds and sequences.
Created (expressed) proteins in E. coli and puried with affinity columns.
Characterized the structure, stability, and enzymac activity profiles of the designed proteins using technique such
as SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, CD Spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography.
